Kinja'd!!!

A friend in New York City came across this today. Anyone have a clue as to what the heck?

I don’t follow the NASCAR, but from what I can glean from the picture, it looks fairly legit. Maybe it’s not a car that’s turned a wheel in anger, but a promo car from the team? Who knows... What I do know is that the guy who got to boot it was probably laughing his ass off.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Also, I find it very amusing that there are not windshield wipers to put the tickets under.

Suspicious

how do you issue tickets for a car with no license plate?

i’m going to go with fake/hoax. the car may have been parked like that for a little... probably awaiting display at a show or something.

the tip off is the tickets... there’s no way that many tickets would accumulate on a windshield in the amount of time that car was likely there. especially if there was no wiper to hold them down. they would have been blown off by the wind and/or swiped/knocked off/stolen by one of our conscientious citizens.

also... to accumulate that many tickets would require at least a day or two. probably more like a week. in which case you’d see some variation in the cleanliness of the ticket envelopes.

anyway, just my $0.02

Probably an M&M’s advertisement.

You’re forgetting the most obvious part: How can you ticket a car with no actual VIN, license plate, or “make/model”? The only thing parking enforcement can write is “M&M stock car” which won’t get them very far.

Here in Chicagoland, if you leave a car illegally parked without plates, usually it gets towed after 24 hours.

Good point.

New Jalopnik pro tip: take your license plates off to prevent yourself from getting tickets! Lol

I commented basically the same before

THOUGH

Maybe they can just issue the ticket direct to Kyle Busch, I mean, his name IS on the windshield.

I want to believe.

I was thinking that it was a show car that got unloaded, ticketed, and booted before it could get to where it was going. An unregistered, no plates, not street legal car is bound to get booted pretty quick in the city.

Obviously not street legal and is on a public street. This would have been a tow.

right.

but that would be 2, maybe 3 tickets? no plate, no reg, some parking thing...

and... when i’ve gotten multiple parking violations at one time... its been multiple tickets, in one envelope.

i know, i know...

Guessing this was a joke. How does a car with no plate, no vin get a ticket? Who do they write it to? Would have been towed and impounded. Tickets wouldn’t stay there without a wiper.
